At Parkland Nephrology, we are committed to providing high quality care to patients with renal disorders. Dr. Ana Stankovic is board certified and fully trained in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of kidney diseases, complications related to kidney diseases, and associated conditions.

Early detection and treatment of kidney disease can slow down or stop the loss of kidney function. Kidneys serve to clean waste material from the blood, retain or excrete salt and water, regulate blood pressure, stimulate bone marrow to make red blood cells, and control the amount of calcium and phosphorous absorbed and excreted. Preserving kidney function is fundamental for prolonged good health.

Dr. Stankovic offers comprehensive screening to those who are at risk of developing kidney disease, as well as those who display symptoms of kidney disease. She is experienced in treating conditions that may eventually lead to kidney disease such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension, inherited diseases, and nephritis.

Dr. Stankovic provides office consultations, follow-up visits, diagnostic services, blood pressure monitoring, and patient education. In addition, she offers strategies for slowing the progression of chronic kidney disease and treats any conditions that may be underlying to chronic kidney disease including the control of blood glucose levels and high blood pressure. If and when the kidney damage progresses to end stage kidney disease, she is experienced in managing related complications such as hypertension, anemia, and bone disease while preparing the patient for kidney replacement therapy.
