Comprehensive Evaluation and Treatment of Hypertension

Achieving optimum blood pressure control reduces the risk of kidney diseases and death from strokes and heart disease. Treatment of hypertension requires a multifaceted approach including:

  • Medications
  • Dietary modification
  • Exercise program

The evaluation will include 24 hours Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring as well as consultation with a certified Hypertension Specialist.

  • Kidney complications of diabetes mellitus and hypertension
  • Inflammatory diseases affecting the kidney such as systemic lupus erythematosus.
  • Fluid and electrolyte disorders such as abnormal blood levels of sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium levels.

  • Acute kidney injury from medications, infection, and other causes.

Monitoring kidney function and treatment of chronic kidney disease to reduce complications and progression to kidney failure.

Evaluation and Treatment of Kidney Stones

Patients who form stones are at risk of developing stones in the future. Although lithotripsy or surgical removal of stones provides immediate relief, the fundamentals of treatment require careful medical evaluation and risk stratification to prevent new stone formation.

Chronic Kidney Failure Requiring Dialysis Treatment

There are various methods of treating patients with end stage kidney disease (chronic kidney failure.) Treatment includes in-center hemodialysis, home hemodialysis, and peritoneal dialysis. Kidney transplantation, however, is the best treatment option. Early evaluation and timely referral for kidney transplantation is the desired objective.
